exocortex
An external memory for one person.
exocortex collects my own email, calendar and documents in one place, keeps them searchable by words and by meaning, and lets my AI assistant look things up for me: who said what, which tasks are still open, what is coming up this week.
exocortex is a private, single-user application. It only accesses
accounts owned by its developer and is not offered to anyone else.
What it does
- Reads my own mailboxes and calendars, read-only.
- Extracts text from attachments, including scanned documents.
- Searches by full text, fuzzy titles and semantic similarity.
- Tags items by area of life, summarizes long ones and keeps track of open tasks.
- Answers questions through the Claude apps, limited per area of life.
